Adventure Park Teichland: In just 4 km away you will find this spacious area with extensive leisure facilities for young and old. Attractions such as summer toboggan run, miniature golf course, monster scooter track, climbing rocks, bungee trampoline, a maze and much more promise fun for the whole family.

The "Spreeaue", located between Dissen and Maiberg, about 7 km from Cottbus-Willmersdorf, is a scenic gem with a variety of animal species. To admire are along the hiking or biking trails u.a. Aurochs, wild horses and water buffalo.

In the small town of Peitz visitors can discover all sorts of historical things. The old town with a small market square is beautifully restored and worth a visit. The Jänschwalde power plant is, according to the installed capacity, one of the largest power plants in Germany. Visitors can make guided tours of the power plants by prior appointment and get interesting insights into the energy production from lignite. Near the power plant is the vantage point of the Jänschwalde open-pit mine, which offers a sweeping view of the open-cast mining landscape.

Forst - the city of roses - awaits you with the beautiful East German rose garden. Discover more than 900 different varieties of roses, individually or with expert day and romantic night tours. In 2013, the Rose Garden celebrates its 100th anniversary from 14th June to 29th September. For this purpose, a new hybrid has been bred, which was named "Forster Rosentraum" in June 2012. Guben-Gubin is the twin city on the Neisse, half of which lies on the German side, the other on the Polish side. Guben has become known as the Hatter City and today houses the interesting city and industrial museum. Discover the city and industrial history through various media and learn more about the former hat production. Worth seeing are also the Museum Spruckermühle, the newly designed city center on the river Neisse with the new town hall and the exhibition on the history of cloth making in Guben. In Gubin, the Polish district, the city hall, the old city and main church and fortifications from the Middle Ages, such as the Maiden's Tower in the old city walls are among the sights. The former military airfield of the NVA has a small museum and a flight school. In addition, the airfield is occasionally used by renowned airlines such as Lufthansa, Air Berlin, TUIfly or Germania for training flights.

About 30 km from the hotel you will find the Chocolate Factory in Hornow. Chocolate lovers will get their money's worth here. At the Schauwerkstatt you will get a unique insight into the chocolatier craft, you can even get creative and taste chocolate yourself. At the factory outlet you will find the finest chocolates and individual chocolate figures as souvenirs for those who stayed at home.

Almost every former East German citizen knows the writer Erwin Strittmatter and his book as well as the eponymous film "Der Laden". In Bohsdorf you will find the original storyline of history with the historic grocery store. In the adjoining rooms there is an exhibition with much to know about the family, the historical environment and the writer himself. Other Roman locations can be visited on the 2.5 km long circular path to Lake Felix.

In the former lignite mining area near Nochten, a unique and artistically designed landscape garden was created. Over 6000, sometimes 1000 million year old boulders and a magnificently flowering heather garden with more than 160 species of heather plants can be admired. Follow the findling trail "Little Scandinavia" and learn more about the origin of boulders. Let the combination of large boulders, perennials, shrubs and water affect you.

At the beginning of the 20th century a mammoth skeleton was found in this area, the replica of which is today in the district administration in Forst. In the surrounding area of ​​Klinge geological-paleontological excavations have been carried out since 1985 in eem-warm-time lake deposits of the Pleistocene. The sequence of layers is clearly visible in a long section. You can also see a wetland biotope with various display boards and a protective building with a replica of a mammoth baby.
